In Too Deep by Jennifer Banash

Release Date: Available Now!!!

Synopsis:

If you don’t belong here— you just don’t belong…

The Bramford building’s newest resident and small-town transplant Casey McCloy is adapting to life in the Big Apple and loving it. She’s got the look, the attitude, and a delish new boyfriend, Drew Van Allen. But she’s starting to have second thoughts as to whether the “New York” Casey is the real Casey. And she’s not so sure she likes herself much anymore. She’s not the only one.

Madison Macallister has always had her Manolo Blahniks firmly planted on the top rung of the social ladder—until that corn-fed cow Casey stole Drew away from her and made her look the fool. So what if Madison wasn’t exactly dating Drew at the time? She wanted him. And everyone knows that Madison gets what she wants, like Drew—and a little revenge.

This is the second book in Banash's Elite series. This time around we see a slightly different side of all of the girls. Madison shows her human side when she tackles the modeling world, and Casey tries her hand at really fitting in with the Bram's queen bees.

Once again, though, I found Sophie's story to be the most interesting and appealing. She's struggling with not only trying to compete and keep up with her sky's-the-limit friends, but more importantly is dealing with the news that she's adopted. When the story culminates at Sophie's Sweet 16, you can't help but hope it all goes well for her. Needless to say, surprises are in store.

This was a another fun, quick read from Banash. Another peak into the lives of the privileged sons and daughters of Manhattan's Upper East Side. I'll certainly be reading her next book, Simply Irresistible, which hits shelves July 7, 2009.
